Spring has sprung into high gear, hasn't it? Even
with our "May Gray" moving into "June Gloom"
here in Southern California we are getting wonderful glimpses of
brilliant and clear warm weather. Besides that old fog reminds us
that "we do too have seasons!
Back to the sprung spring... wasn't our BCE Program wonderful this
past month? Rich Hessler proves to be an incredible resource for
technological options for coaches. His handouts alone are worth
gold to those who are remembering that it is necessary to build
a solid structure of support in the form of our businesses in order
to support us in being a successful coach or coaching company.
With the renewed interest of our community showing up for our in-depth
exploration into 'business and coaching excellence' we will soon
need to think about expanding to a larger conference room. Our Logistics
Director, Anita Goldin, has informed me though that there is another
wall in our present locale that we may be able to open to create
a larger room at the lively Sports Club of Irvine. If not, we may
reach into our readership to query whether or not you know of another
venue that is as bright, cheery, accessible, and has the amenities
that we do at the Sports Club. But back to the BCE; you may be interested
in next month as we have a delightful surprise for those of you
continuing on with or just beginning to explore the continuing in
the professionalism of your chosen careers. We are beginning the
exploration and support for all who wish to become credentialed
through the International Coach Federation. You can find that information
on the website at www.icforangecounty.org.
Another delightful spring surprise was our May speaker, Morgana
Rae, with her enchanting presentation of Financial Alchemy. The
room was enthralled with her perspective of 'who money is to us'
and in turn, who we 'are to money.' The evening was truly magical
and we're grateful that she chose to come and visit us. We look
forward to seeing more of you at our Chapter meetings, Morgana!
Our future programs will prove to be as enlivening and useful for
our continued success as coaches. As a quick reference, in June
we have a change as our previously scheduled speaker withdrew
her participation due to another event, however I am absolutely
delighted that instead, we will host Daniel Holmes, who I have been
in a regular monthly relationship with as a fellow ICF President
for the Los Angeles Chapter. Daniel will introduce us to insights
of Family Coaching with, "All in the Family! Coaching the New
Frontier for Change.' In July we have Bill Mooney speaking on '
Helping consultants build profitable practices." Then
in August, we will have representatives from ICF Accredited Coach
Training Programs who will join together on a panel to share the
initial and the graduate programs that their schools have to offer.
Do join us and add your input and expertise as valuable contributors
to our growing ICF-Orange County Chapter.
With admiration for who you are!
Patricia Hirsch
2006 President, ICF-OC
