ICF has recently learned from members that while
some prefer that all their contact information is listed on the
Web site, others prefer that only limited information is included.
Still others don't want any of their contact information listed
on the Web site.
Thanks to this member input and the requests received, ICFs Web
site has been enhanced with new privacy settings for member data.
Each member can now decide how, or if, his/her contact information
appears in the different search options. There are currently two
search options:
- Members-only search members search for other members
- Public search includes both:
(Find a Member) public search for a coach
CRS (Find a Coach) only pertains to those participating in the
CRS
In each of these searches, members can now set their own personal
privacy data settings based on the following choices:
- Full Listing includes all membership information
- name, credential, full address, phone, e-mail, Web site
- Contact Listing includes - name, credential,
city/state, country, business phone, e-mail, Web site
- Geographic Listing includes name, credential,
city/state, country
- Unlisted - your name and profile will not appear
in any search on the ICF Web site.
You may choose to have a different setting for each search. For
example, you may want to set your personal settings so that your
peers have access to the full listing of your information, but that
the public only has access the contact listing information. The
choice of how your information is displayed is totally up to you.
Currently, all members are listed with a Full Listing.
If you wish to change your privacy settings, please follow these
instructions:
- Go to www.coachfederation.org
- Click on For Current Members
- On the For Current Members Home Page make sure you are logged
into the Web site as an ICF member (your e-mail address is your
user name)
- Go to View/Edit Profile* located in the Blue Member Resources/Quick
Links box in the upper right hand corner
- Click on Edit Contact Information
- In the gray box you will see Privacy Setting options
- Choose your preferences for each search option
- Click on Save at the bottom of the page

to create a log-out button because the system needs to completely
disconnect for updates and to keep your member area operating correctly.
If you can not view your profile information you will need to delete
your cookies by going to the ICF site and click on Tools: Internet
Options: Delete Cookies in your browser toolbar. You will see File-Edit-View-Favorites-TOOLS
in your toolbar. You must hit o.k. to submit the delete cookie request.
It is also very important that you completely close out of your
browser window after you have deleted the cookies. You will then
need to re-open your browser window and re-visit the ICF site to
log-in. These steps will be required at times to keep your member
sections operating properly for you until we are able to provide
the log-out feature on the site.
