President’s
Message: Patricia Hirsch
I’d like to take a moment to thank
you all for the growing participation and excitement in our
ICF-OC Chapter. The new Business and Coaching Excellence Program
has proven to be quite a success! Plus the headliner speakers
who have visited us this year have all been quality contributors
to our participants and to our profession.
My promise to you when I took the presidency
this year was that you and your businesses would “grow
like weeds” with your active participation in the Chapter.
Think about it… having growing pains where your coaching
businesses became so successful you would have to hire professionals
and colleagues to come and join you in your continued growth
in your coaching businesses!
Come and join us soon! Next month’s
speaker came highly recommended by our sister chapter in San
Diego and will prove to be quite magical!

Coaching In Excellence Program
5:00 - 6:00pm
Using Technology
to Optimize your Coaching Business
Technology makes it possible
for us to put together a great-looking website on a low budget,
get a conference line to run group-coaching calls, record
coaching calls and tele-seminars, create newsletters to send
to prospects, create e-books, DVD's and other information
products, and much, much, more. In May's Business and Coaching
Excellence program we will share knowledge and guidelines
on how to use the tools technology brings to us to add more
to your business. Our own Rich Hessler, who has an extensive
background in marketing and technology, will be facilitating
the program. Bring information to share on how you have used
technology to optimize your business, and leave with valuable
tools and tips you can apply right away!
Headliner Event:
6:30 - 8:30pm
Financial Alchemy: Create a
New Relationship with Money!
Presented by: Morgana Rae, MRC, CPCC, MPNLP
When coaches and clients have money problems,
there is usually an underlying conflict in values revealing
itself in their bank account balance sheet. Your current financial
situation is a direct reflection of your inner relationship
with Money. Morgana Rae, MRC, CPCC, MPNLP, teaches you how
to transform your unconscious relationship with money. As
long as you have hidden beliefs that cause you to unconsciously
repel money, perhaps “protect” yourself from wealth,
you will be financially unsatisfied. Money is like any other
relationship; it comes where it’s invited and appreciated.
It rarely comes when it is chased. It can be your partner
if you listen to it. The more you care for this relationship,
the more money you will attract. Learn how to become a money
magnet!
You will leave this interactive workshop
with:
- A unique, five step process.
- Increased confidence and skill coaching
clients with financial anxiety. (And clients of ALL INCOME
LEVELS have financial anxiety!)
- A new relationship with money!

Four Things Critical to Growing
Your Business
by Nahid Casazza
When my clients complain that they are not
getting enough clients, a little probing usually reveals that
they have under-estimated how much effort it takes on the
front end to generate the results they desire.
Ask yourself these four basic questions
to help you quantify the effort it will take to reach your
goal. Sometimes just knowing your numbers is enough to depersonalize
the process and get you motivated to act!

Integrity.
Confidentiality. Courage. Ethics.
by Philip
H. Henderson, Ethical Magician
These are the character traits that
define the profession of coaching. Without these essential
ways of being, our clients cannot trust us to be of true service
to their needs. Foremost, our work is about our clients. Our
work is about their wants, desires, aspirations, and ambitions.
We work best when there is congruence between
our wants, desires, aspirations, and ambitions. However, in
most cases our clients are headed in completely different
directions than we are. It is tempting to insert ourselves,
to place our values into the coaching process.

And I'd Like to Thank My Coach
WHENEVER Bryce Dallas Howard teased her dad, the actor and
director Ron Howard, about how much actors are paid, he'd
say, "It's so that they can afford their therapist."
But decades after her father made it in Hollywood, Ms. Howard,
25, is making her own way in acting, and she's therapist-free.
She sees a life coach instead. Ms. Howard, who is on location
filming "Spider-Man 3," said her coach helps her
navigate the demands of show business on her own terms, including
making time for writing and protecting a degree of privacy
during press interviews without losing her cool.
