President’s
Message: Patricia Hirsch
Last month’s Chapter meeting was a
hoot, wasn’t it?! There was so much happening that evening
and all of the participants were fully involved in all that
was taking place. The kick-off Business and Coaching Excellence
Program (BCE) had the room almost full to capacity and participants’
sharing precisely what was important to them and what their
challenges were. What I fully appreciated was the willingness
for coaches to come together and learn and grow and move beyond
what stops them. Good work, Coaches!

High Achievers! Maybe It's
a Dream. Maybe It's Not.
Presented by: Vance Caesar, Ph.D.
The three keys to maximizing your career
choices and your worth in today's market are:
- People Power (using influence, support
network or connections)
- Results (that stakeholders see)
- Skills (current and relevant)
SO! What is a "high achiever"?
What are the differences when coaching them?
How do we keep our clients engaged?
How do we re-new our relationship with them?
For the answers to these questions and more,
join us for an interactive and informative evening led by
one of the premier consultants/coaches in the country, Vance
Ceasar.

Surrounded by Blame Mongers?
by Bradley Ann Morgan
“Why is everybody just pointing fingers?”
We’ve all had those days when professional and personal
goals have been thwarted by all parties blaming each other.
Consequently, we claim that we are a victim of an injustice,
or we had an ethical right to something we did not get, or
that we deserved something better than this viscous cycle
of blame. Almost always, the resulting mood is resentment
and anger.

Observing
Ways of Thinking that Shape Us
by Patricia
Hirsch
A wonderful quote came to me by an
anonymous author and it goes like this…
"Life is not a journey to
the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW!! What a ride!"
The quote reminds me to ask myself how I am living my own
life.
Since June 2006, I have had the opportunity
to spend time with my 84 year old father as he transited through
the worst part of a serious illness.
